Our collagen induction treatments are effective and safe for most adults with minimal down time, however, there are some who would not be good candidates or who may require physician clearance.

 

Here is what you need to know prior to seeing us:

  • Pregnant/Nursing

  • Anti-Coagulation Therapy

  • Cardiac Abnormalities

  • Unstable Diabetes

  • Auto-Immune Disease​

  • Immunosuppression Meds

  • Hemostatic Dysfunction

  • Active Herpes Outbreak

  • Wound Healing Deficiencies

  • Hemorrhagic Disorders​

  • Keloidal Scar History

  • Inflammatory Acne-Severe

  • Accutane Use (12 months)

  • Psoriasis/ Eczema

  • Sun Burned Skin

What to expect

Before Appointment

 

  • Clients with a history of herpes simplex should be taking prescribed anti-viral medication to prevent potential outbreaks

  • No tanning or prolonged sun exposure

  • Wear a hat for facial treatments

  • Wear loose comfortable clothing for body treatments

  • No Retin-A, AHA/BHA, vitamin c, or active skin care 72 hours prior 

  • No waxing or chemical depilatory use 1 week prior

  • No laser services or chemical peels 6 weeks prior

  • Ensure you have planned for personal scheduling that to allows for 90 minutes- 72 hours of down time

  • Review and any questions or concerns with you primary care provider as needed

After  Treatment

 

  • Immediate side effects may be felt from 90 minutes to 72 hours depending on the treatment and may include: redness, inflammation, pinpoint bleeding, dry tight or sunburned feeling skin 

  • No direct sun exposure, resume sunblock in 24 hours 

  • No sweating, hot tubs, saunas, or pools for 72 hours 

  • Do not touch treated areas with dirty hands. Nothing but cool water or recovery masks on skin for 24 hours

  • Ensure linens, towels, and make up applicators are clean

  • In 24 hours start gentle cleansing & after care steps twice daily 

  • Resume normal skin care at 72 hours as tolerated

  • No waxing or depilatory use within 2 weeks 

  • No laser services or chemical peels within 6 weeks
